I want to change how I to the tails of horses but I can't seem to be able to do it right O_o
Anyway, here's an example of one of my coat's tail

I want it to look more realistic. It's not so bad with the palomino one but I have a few darker ones that need a more detailed tail Razz

Is that an Arabian's tail?

It need a little more definition of the tail head, then have the hair stream down from there.

Arabian's tails are extremely high set--the head from which the hair stems curves upwards, and the hairs then grow from there downward, in a curve with an angle opposite of the tail head.

Demure, I would add some colors darker and lighter than the tail, and smudge it on the lowest opacity it can be. That's how I do mine.

with my tails i usually add drops of color (shades) and smudge it in lines with the way the tail/mane is moving.
